TONOPAH, Nev., June 5, 2018 - The following report highlights several important actions taken at the Nye County Board of Commissioners meeting. The agenda numbers provide links to each item’s backup.

The Nevada Department of Transportation presented its Fiscal Year 2019 Work Program for Nye County, which was accepted by the board. Highlights included the Interstate 11 project, the One Nevada Plan and a discussion on Wildlife/Vehicle Collisions. NDOT also discussed county's safety concerns along Highway 160 at the Oxbow Avenue and Wilson Road intersection, and the possibility of a dedicated right turn lane on Highway 160 at Highway 372. (7)
Commissioners rejected two proposed County Code additions after a lengthy discussion (9) and (10)
Scott Lewis was ratified as the new director of County Emergency Services. He will remain in his current position as chief of the Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue. (25)

Approved the establishing of an Enterprise Fund for Golf Course Business Related Activities at the town owned Lakeview Golf Course (14)
