Series of northern road repairs underway, and a DuraPatcher

DuraPatcher

Nye County Road Department is starting the new fiscal year by working on a series of pavement rehabilitation projects in Central and Northern Nye County.
Crews are working on Valley View Avenue in Tonopah, Pablo Canyon Road that access Hadley Subdivision in Round Mountain, and an extension to Belmont Road into Belmont.

These projects were approved by the Regional Transportation Commission.

Public Works has acquired a DuraPatcher machine, which will be going into operation next week after crews are trained and road patching materials are delivered.
The DuraPatcher will aid county road crews on filling potholes and cracks giving the public a safer roadway on which to travel.
The DuraPatcher is currently housed in Tonopah but will be used throughout the county, according to Public Works Director Tim Dahl.
