Yes, you will need to come into the Public Works office to obtain the permit.

What are the hours of operation for our landfills?
Pahrump hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., seven days per week.
Tonopah hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., seven days per week.

Is there fuel at any of the airports?
The only airport with fuel is Tonopah.
4.
Is there a car rental or taxi at any of the Airports?
No. Tonopah’s Ramada Inn has a shuttle service for Hotel quests.
5.
Are permits required in Tonopah?
A flood application permit is required through Tonopah planning for all structures. Commercial structures are reviewed for compliance for fire safety. Pahrump Building Safety acts as the State Fire Marshal for plan reviews and inspections.
6.
Does Public Works do elevation certificates?
Elevation certificates are completed and stamped by a licensed surveyor hired on behalf of the applicant and reviewed by the Nye County Floodplain Manager.
