Voter Registration
Qualifications to Register to Vote
You must:
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Be 18 years of age before the next election
  • Not be a convicted felon
  • Have continuously resided in Nevada for the following time before the next election:
    • At least 30 days in Nye County
    • At least 10 days in the precinct
  • Claim no other place besides the physical address listed on your voter registration as your legal residence

Additional Requirements
When completing your registration, you must supply a Nevada Driver’s License Number if you have been issued one.
  • If you do not have a Driver’s License Number, you must supply as least the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
  • If you do not have a Social Security Number, please contact the Nye County Clerk’s Office.

If you are mailing your application and are a first time registrant in Nye County, you must submit a current and valid photo ID or a copy of one of the following:
  • Current utility bill
  • Bank statement
  • Government check
  • Other government document that shows your name and residence address

If you do not provide ID at the time of registration, you will be required to provide ID prior to voting for the first time.
