In 2002 Judge Robert W. Lane developed Drug Court in Pahrump. It is an alcohol and drug intervention program for adults and juveniles, developed to channel chemically dependent, non-violent individuals into substance abuse treatment services. It is designed to provide an alternative to incarceration, and to help participants become and remain drug free so they may get back into the community and live healthier, more productive lives.
We are currently developing a Family Specialty Court. The program will provide individual and family counseling, parent/child mentoring, home checks, drug testing and assist in other ways as needed.
