Planning Applications Utilized Within the Pahrump Regional Planning District

Review and Complete the entire application.  For assistance contact a Pahrump Planning Associate.

  • Address Change 
    • Approval is required for a change of address. (i.e. corner lot, fronting two streets)  
  • Appeal   

        For use in the appeal process of land use decisions made by the governing
        bodies (PRPC & BOCC) as well as Administrator decisions.

  • Business License Review
    • Required prior to the issuance of a business license.
  • Development Improvement Agreement/Security Release Application 
  • Division of Land (Within the PRPD)
    • Application is used when applying for one of the following:
      • Amended Final Subdivision Map
      • Boundary Line Adjustment
      • Final Large Parcel Map
      • Final Map Extension of Time
      • Final Map Technical Review
      • Final Subdivision Map
      • Map of Reversion
      • Merger and Resubdivision Parcel Map
      • Minor Modification to Subdivision Map
      • Parcel map
      • Tentative Large Parcel Map
      • Tentative Subdivision Map
    • Document Submittal Requirements 
    Land Use Application
    • Application is used when applying for one of the following:
      • Conditional Use Permit
      • Street Name Change
      • Text Amendment
      • Vacation and Abandonment
      • Waiver
      • Zone Change
  • Master Plan Amendment
    • Required when property owners seek to develop their properties at densities, intensities, or with uses that are not permitted under the current Master Plan category.
      • Major Amendment
      • Minor Amendment
  • Medical Marijuana Establishment Business License Application
    • Approval is required prior to any establishment operation.
  • Sign Permit
    • Approval is required for any advertising structures and/or signs and prior to the issuance of building or other construction permits.
  • Site Development Plan
    • Approval is required for all commercial/industrial development and prior to the issuance of building or other construction permits.
  • Solid Waste Permit Application
    • Before any private landfill, recycling facility, or other private disposal or storage facility for solid waste located in Nye County, except a Class 3 mining landfill permitted by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, receives and/or disposes of solid waste, the private landfill, recycling facility or other private disposal or storage facility shall obtain authorization from the Board of County Commissioners by way of a permit for solid waste importation and disposal (hereafter "solid waste permit").
  • Special Use Permit
              Used for Medical Marijuana projects, power generation projects and
              transmission line projects.

              To be submitted with a Final Subdivision Map.

  • Temporary Use Permit
    • Approval is required for the temporary placement of a mobile home, commercial coach, or recreational vehicle when used as a residence.
  • Tenant Improvement 
    • Approval is required, prior to the occupation of a building and any construction that involves modification to the inside of an existing building.
  • Zoning Inquiry Request
    • To request the zoning and master plan category of a specific parcel.
  • Zoning Review
    • Approval is required prior to the construction of any building or garage, including the placement of a mobile home, and any construction that involves modifications of expansion of an existing building, or prior to establishing any other land use which may require a building permit.

Board Application Submittal

There will be opportunities advertised periodically to volunteer for the Pahrump Regional Planning Commission and other Boards and Committees that may arise through the Planning Department.  To apply for these opportunities, you may print and fill out the application and questionnaire attached below:
