Nye County is pleased to announce the submittal of its Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration in July 2012. Click here to download.
Nye County initiated its CEDS process in January 2012. Through the CEDS development, Nye County has gained a greater understanding of the unique assets, socio-economic goals and objectives, infrastructure challenges, job training and education deficiencies, and business support needs of each of its communities and the County as a whole. Nye County’s commitment to the successful completion of the CEDS process was best evidenced by the direct involvement of the community leaders in each of the six main population centers within the County. As a result of these activities, Nye County identified regional projects, programs, and activities and developed an implementation strategy.

Effective July 1, 2012 the Nye County Regional Economic Development Authority (NCREDA) will begin overseeing the Economic Development activities within Nye County. More information on NCREDA will be coming soon.
