Nye County Emergency Management and its partners are booking appointments for COVID-19 Vaccinations through a new online system launched Tuesday, February 9th.
A reminder that appointments and doses remain limited as the State continues to work with the federal government to secure more significant vaccine quantities.
Nye County is currently vaccinating General Population 70 years and older, and those in the Frontline/Essential Worker Lane listed below:
Public Safety & Security
NV Dept of Correction Staff
Law Enforcement, Public Safety, and National Security
State and Local Emergency Operations Managers/Staff
Frontline Community Support
Education (Pre-K & K-12) and Childcare – public/private/charter school settings
Nevada System of Higher Education (NHSA) Frontline Educators, Staff & Students
Community Support Frontline Staff (i.e., frontline workers who support food, shelter, court/legal and social services, and other necessities of life for needy groups and individuals
Continuity of Governance (State and Local)
Essential Public Transportation
Remaining Essential Public Health Workforce
Mortuary Services
The County work is working through the previous Vaccine Interest Forms and phone messages to schedule everyone who left their information.
NOTE: VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System will be conducting another COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Pahrump VA Clinic on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 20 and 21. Veterans ages 70 and older who wish to receive their vaccine at that time should call the Pahrump VA clinic at (775) 727-7535 to schedule their appointment.
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services launched a vaccination call center to answer questions and assist those who may need help making an appointment. The call center has bilingual staff that speaks English and Spanish and can access the language line for other languages as needed. The Call Center is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week and can be reached at 1-800-401-0946. The County's 775-751-6313 number now connects to this number.
